The Yum Cupcakery. Some serious cupcakes...

So, I finally got to see what all the fuss was about over at Yum Cupcakery off Archer road. It was definitely not what I imagined... I was pleasantly surprised to say the least. I had no idea it was going to be a entire custom "made-to-order" cupcake for only $2.50!

Each cupcake includes your choice of cake flavor, filling, frosting and include one topping. The choices were unbelievable.... Ginger Snap, Vanilla, Strawberry, Chocolate, Red Velvet, Peanut Butter, Strawberry Champagne, Chili Chocolate, Lemon, Espresso and Banana cake flavors to choose from!!

They also have light, vegan, gluten free and raw varieties to choose from! "Raw" simply means that the cupcakes are "packed with nutrition to give you a healthy glob. These cupcakes are made with no animal products and no ingredients heated about 115 degrees. These are no bake cupcakes and are egg free!"

The fillings... oh my.... I can't list them all but some that definately stand out to me are Boston Cream, Espresso, Ginger, Green Tea, Honeydew, Jasmine, Lemon, Light Chocolate and Vanilla, Mango, Mint, Papaya, Raw Almond Butter, Raw Apple Sauce, Red Bean, Rose, Taro, and Wasabi!!!

I am 100% going home and putting my rose extract to good use. I KNEW that someone out there must be offering rose flavored baked goodies.

The frosting flavors were pretty much the same as the fillings, plus the regular Chocolate, Cream Cheese, Vanilla and Strawberry. You can't go wrong with the classics!

Ok, onto toppings... let me just say it took almost 15 minutes for me to decide what I wanted to order. I was only getting 2 cupcakes. AAAAH-mazing. One topping is included free with the price of the cupcake and each additional is only 10 cents. They offer at least 10 different kinds of sprinkles and cookie crumbs, 20 different syrups including Tamarind, Passion Fruit, Mangosteen, Lychee, Goji, Butter Maple and Acai, several different kind of nuts and seeds such as Black Sesame, Chia, Almonds and Candy Fennel. They have a special section devoted to "tipsy fruits." I came extremely close to getting the Sake Strawberries or Sangria Blackberries. Add another 30 different options to their topping lists and you get Candied Lavender, Candied Rose Petals, Creme Brulee Bits, Giant Sweet Tarts, Marzipan Hibiscus, Mochi Candies, Pink Cotton Candy, Pop Rocks and Sprinkle Gummy Bears!!!

I would recommend to try Yum Cupcakery. Just once and you will be hooked. What better place to take kids. They can all get exactly what they want, it is reasonably priced and delicious at that!

I'll list the two combinations that I decided on. I would recommend giving them a try or coming up with your own, the possibilities are endless!
